The New York City Chapter of the User Experience Professionals Association is pleased to announce the election of the following officers, who will be leading the Chapter beginning on January 1, 2021:

Sets strategy and vision for the NYC UXPA in alignment with its human-centered mission and values
Prioritize short- and long-term goals around the organization’s mission
Act as an ambassador to communicate the organization’s mission within the community.
Defines event-related milestones and methods for managing the milestones month-to-month
Maintains ownership of websites and accounts that make up NYC UXPA's administration
Work with the Board of Directors to develop new roles as necessary to execute on strategic goals
Collaborates with the Treasurer to manage financial & legal affairs
Approximate time commitment per month: 20 hours
Co-leads with President on various chapter initiatives
Assumes Presidency if the current President is no longer able to serve
Works with Treasurer to build relationships with sponsors and venues for hosting events.
Manage and assess tools for collaboration and task management
Act as an ambassador to communicate the organization’s mission within the community.
Acts as a second signatory for approval of chapter expenses
Assists Treasurer in the management of organization finances
Approximate time commitment per month: 20 hours
Maintains the chapter's bank account and finances, including receipt of event registrations, annual member dues and other income
Works with Vice President to build relationships with sponsors and venues for hosting events.
Monitors monthly expenditures
Works with accountant to reconcile monthly financial activity
Provides quarterly reports on finances
Provides strategic counsel on investment and risk
Provides expense reimbursement for speakers and chapter volunteers
Manage communications with members regarding individual payments and refunds, for event tickets and membership applications
Pays vendor invoices for chapter expenses
Provides income and expense records of chapter to tax accountants
Ensures the timely filing and annual renewal of chapter tax documentation
Approximate time commitment per month: 20 hours
