Leading Creative Ideation

Fighting to get your team to think big picture and outside the box? Do your brainstorming sessions lead to total chaos? Having trouble generating fresh, actionable ideas? The struggle is real. You can’t make new things without new ways of thinking

In this 2-hour workshop, Jon Mysel from Cooper will cover methods and tools to ensure you run fruitful brainstorming sessions, leading your team to more and better ideas. You’ll learn to frame the problem you’re solving, come up with an exploration strategy, and facilitate the session, giving you and your team new ways to get inspired and energized when looking for solutions.

Meet Jon Mysel

Jon is the Managing Director of Cooper’s New York office. For more than 20 years, Jon has been immersed in the world of understanding people’s needs and creating products and experiences that make their lives easier. As a designer, Jon has focused on making every experience, including the product design process, as simple as possible. 

Prior to joining Cooper, Jon founded the Catalyst Group in 1998, an NYC-based user experience design firm. At that time, the idea of a consulting firm focused on usability and interaction design was pretty new. For more than 16 years, Catalyst partnered with clients to design products that are closely aligned with the needs of their audiences. He has also worked at the renowned Australian usability firm The Hiser Group where he built and managed their Sydney practice. Before that, he worked at the computer manufacturer Digital Equipment Corporation as a human factors engineer in the Industrial Design department. Jon has a degree in Engineering Psychology from Tufts University and an MBA from Babson College.

All registration activities are handled by our volunteers. Please be advised that on the day of the event, we will do our best to manage transfers and late requests, but our primary focus will be on day-of-event logistics.

Regular registration closes at 10:00pm ET on Sunday, March 19-or- whenever seating capacity is reached, whichever occurs first. Tickets can be transferred by sending a request to RSVP@nycuxpa.org up until 48 hours before the event opening. Transfer requests received after this period may not be received or processed. Transferees will please bring the transferer's registration confirmation in printed or digital form as backup.

If the event sells out early, a Wait List may be set up and managed by us on a discretionary basis. We will do our best to keep Wait-Listers informed about the status of available seating, but Wait Listers who haven't heard anything by noon the day of the event can assume there has been no change in status.
