World Usability Day: Design for Good or Evil

Today’s digital landscape feeds our lizard brains and reduces complex moral dilemmas to the swipe of a thumb. As digital product creators, we find ourselves faced with a profound responsibility to the millions of people intentionally and inadvertently affected by our work. This multi-disciplinary panel will focus on the grey areas of modern product development, and discuss noteworthy examples of how even the simplest design decisions can lead to great ethical successes — or epic fails. They will empower you to positively impact humanity through products designed for a world that doesn't suck.

Who this talk is for:

This talk is for anyone interested in design — one of the most powerful forces in our lives. It affects our morning commute, how we experience websites and apps, and how we communicate with each other. Gaining a better understanding of this universal force will help you see the world and your projects through a fascinating new lens. While most attendees will be designers, many developers, product owners, researchers, and business folk also benefit from the ideas and best practices.
