This year's World Usability Day theme is "Designing for the Future We Want." Join us at Consumer Reports (CR), where they will be opening their doors for us to get a glimpse at just what it is that goes into their research and testing of everyday products. They are offering an exclusive lab tour, presentations, and a chance to meet the experts behind the scenes.

As an organization that rates thousands of products and services annually, comparing products fairly and sharing the information in a meaningful way with consumers is a key part of CR's work. They will share more about their unique paradigm where the product testing protocols and procedures are the focus of their iterative research and development. This will be followed by a look into how this information is presented and optimized for a better user experience on their digital platform.  

Through the course of the day, there will also be an opportunity for you to shape the future of how CR tests for usability aspects to benefit consumers. 



Our Speakers & Hosts


The CR Consumer Experience & Usability Research team conducts research with consumers to learn how they use products in their natural environment. This helps to inform and transform the testing in the labs so that it aligns with consumer needs and behaviors.


The CR Consumer Insights team serves as the voice of the consumer for the organization. We empower staff to make data-driven decisions and create consumer-centric strategies that address consumer needs and pain points.

Registration closes at 5pm ET on Monday, November 4 -or- whenever capacity is reached, whichever occurs first. Tickets can be refunded or transferred by sending a request to RSVP@nycuxpa.org up until November 4. Requests received after this period will not be processed.
