The Researcher’s Guide to Negotiation:

7 Practical Tips to Help You Get What You Want

Negotiation is all around us. Whether you’re considering a job offer, buying a car, or convincing your partner to order pizza instead of Thai food, you’ve almost certainly engaged in some form of negotiation in the recent past. What you might not realize is that negotiation is a skill that can be practiced and perfected over time.

In this presentation, David will discuss 7 negotiation tips that have been derived from research and taught at business schools around the world. You’ll learn practical strategies you can use to tackle your next negotiation confidently and effectively.

Join us as we learn the basic vocabulary of negotiation; dispel common myths that can derail negotiation and develop practical strategies to navigate your next negotiation.

Our Speaker:

David J. Lick

David J. Lick is currently a Senior User Experience Researcher at Google. Prior to his work in the industry, he received a PhD in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles, where he TA’ed negotiation for undergraduates as well as MBA Students.
